ideal base to explore nearby attractions and enjoy city strolls
I had a comfortable stay with very clean rooms and great food served in the bar, which made each evening relaxing after a day of exploring the town's rich history and nearby landmarks like Cartmel Medieval Village Priory, just a short walk away.

absolutely dreadful experience. the shower gel ran out and was never replaced, how uncivilized! also, the beds were so firm I thought I was sleeping on concrete. i expected a complimentary upgrade for my troubles but got treated like everyone else. i almost thought to leave a good review but just couldn't, too many issues to overlook.

Exceptionally clean rooms with an inviting bar area (the cozy atmosphere was delightful! ). The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant stay. Breakfast was a highlight, with generous portions and delicious options.
Shower temperature could be tricky at times (a bit hot or cold), and mobility might be a concern for the stairs.

Charming location with welcoming staff and spacious rooms. The food quality was impressive, especially the homemade sausages. While the shower pressure was somewhat lacking, it didn't detract from the overall delightful experience.
